Tasting Notes
Exotic aromas of lemongrass, Mandarin clove, and wet stone. The palate
is focused with a spicy minerality. Notes of yellow plum, red apple, and
spiced pear that lingers on the finish.
Vineyard Notes
Tumwater consists of 25 acres of planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Planted in 2015 & 2017 with various clones suited for our vineyard’s microclimate. Soils are Jory, Nekia & Saum. Warm days cooled off by the near by Willamette River.
Other Notes
2023 started with a cool Spring, we had much shoot growth in the vineyard. Summer was beautiful & warm, hot days and cooling nights due to our proximity to the Willamette River. Smaller clusters and a leaner crop but high fruit quality. This vintage was harvested earlier, late August, one of the earliest harvests in recent years. Our 23 wines are well structured, bright and age worthy.
